Crossthwaite Farm Cottage is an ideal 17th Century farm house suitable for families and Groups in Garsdale, Yorkshire Dales full of original features, which sits in an elevated position with stunning views close to the Settle to Carlisle Railway line and the Dalesway National Trail walking route. Accessed by a steep farm track, the property is tranquil and secluded with over an acre of grounds, including a wildlife meadow. The garden is a haven for wildlife with goldfinches and red squirrels being regular visitors. We also welcome pets.
The house is full of character with many original features including stone flagged farmhouse kitchen, deep stone windowsills and exposed beams.
Families or groups of friends will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay at any time of year.
Although secluded, Crossthwaite is just 7.5 miles from the popular market towns of Sedbergh and Hawes with their cafes, shops and pubs. Garsdale Station, the highest station on the famously picturesque Carlisle to Settle line, is just three miles away, indeed the trains can be seen in the distance from the garden.
The Moorcock Inn is just 3 miles up the road where food and real ale are available daily.
