Sedbergh Book Town is a short drive away (7.5 miles) where there is a range of shops including a small supermarket. There is a local produce market every Wednesday. The bustling town has three pubs and several cafes.
The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits including walking, cycling and canoeing. The Howgills form the backdrop for Sedbergh whilst the Ingleton area is within easy reach to the South East. Mallerstang is a stunning valley close by which leads to the picturesque Eden Valley and Kirkby Stephen.
A short drive from Garsdale Head over the old Coal Road will afford stunning views and lead you to the quaint cobbled village of Dent.
Lake Windermere is a 45 minute drive away and offers all the beauty and water sporting opportunities of the Lake District.
